The Galaxy A72 5G has yet to be announced as early renders are already leaking. At the back, the device has a module designed to accommodate its four photo sensors, while at the front, we take advantage of a very small notch for the selfie sensor.
Recently, Samsung has already decided to give a little facelift to its entry-level and mid-range smartphone range, the Galaxy a. After the Galaxy A42 5G that we tested earlier this month, it is the A72 5G who begins to point the tip of his nose. If the smartphone will not be launched by the end of the year, the South Korean giant is expected to market it in the first half of 2021, there is no doubt. A leak also reveals the first images of the smartphone.
The first visuals therefore show us a device with a rather classic design for Samsung, with its rounded edges and its front notch located in the center, at the top of the screen. The back of the leaked photos reveals a back equipped with a quadruple photo sensor. In addition, the lack of a rear fingerprint sensor suggests that the device has an unlocking module housed under the screen, as was the case with the A71.
The Galaxy A72 will be 5G compatible
From the various information available, we know that the device benefits from a 6.7 ″ display. The A72 5G measures 16.5 x 7.74 x 0.81 cm, without taking into account the thickness of the rear photo island (0.99 cm taking it into account). On the first renderings, we notice that the A72 5G still benefits from a 3.5mm jack. We also know The back of the Galaxy A72 5G is covered with “Glasstic”, a layer of plastic that looks like glass and that provides the same sensations to the touch. As for the outline of the smartphone, it is made of aluminum.
On the hardware side, it is not known for the moment which SoC was chosen by Samsung to equip its A72. However, it will be a model 5G compatible, with technology becoming increasingly affordable. The price of the smartphone has not yet been revealed. As a reminder, the A71 was displayed at a price of € 479 when it left. It remains to be seen whether Samsung will manage to stay in the same pricing vein, despite 5G compatibility. Remember also that the A72 could also include an optical stabilizer, which has a significant cost in the manufacture of a telephone.
Samsung also has other models from the Galaxy A range in its boxes. Models like the Galaxy A32 5G and A52 5G are also expected to be announced soon. We already know that the A52 5G benefits from a 6.5 ″ screen and will therefore be a little smaller than the A72. On the other hand, it should also have a screen fingerprint sensor under the screen. As for the A32 5G, it will be the cheapest model in the range, and even the cheapest smartphone of all 5G models marketed by Samsung.
