Very clearly one of the major games of PlayStation 4 in 2015, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is eagerly awaited by fans of the Naughty Dog series. For now, the software is still quite mysterious, but a recent gameplay video shows the graphic leap made since the previous game on PS3.
The latest issue of Game Informer magazine provides us with some information on the title, the details of which were posted on the NeoGAF forums.
In particular, we learn that its development has started since the team finalized Uncharted 3. It is also said that the work of porting The Last of Us to PS4 has speeded up work on the next Uncharted.
Scriptwriting-wise, Uncharted 4 takes place three years after the end of the events in the third installment. Nathan lives quietly with Elena, until the sudden arrival of his brother Sam. Nathan thought that the latter was dead. He learns, however, that Sam's life is in danger and must find an artifact from Henry Avery.
Our hero will therefore have to go on an adventure with his brother and will notably explore Libertalia, a colony of Madagascar set up by pirates. It is said that several new tools will be available in addition to the grapple and the rope. Player movement will be freer than in the previous sections with, in particular several paths to bypass the enemies.
Artificial intelligence has also been revised upwards and Sam's movements are compared to those of Ellie in The Last of Us.
Recall that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is scheduled for a release end of 2015 on PS4.
