Foxconn, known as one of Apple’s biggest partners, will increase its iPhone production capacity by employing a million more people.
Based in Taiwan but with production plants in Zhengzhou, China, Foxconn is undoubtedly one of Apple's biggest partners. The Asian company currently produces as many as 200,000 iPhones a day, with a total of 1.2 million employees.
China Daily reported on Monday that the company plans to nearly double its production capacity soon by hiring 1.1 million workers and totaling 95 production lines for its central Henan center in central China. This should allow the company to increase its revenues and raise just over $ 20 billion in 2012. In addition, the company plans to open a new production plant dedicated to the iPad.
