The FBI forced a suspect to unlock his iPhone X using Face ID as part of an investigation, forcing him to point his face at the smartphone.
FBI – iPhone X
According to a report by Forbes, Grant Michalski, charged with exchanging pornographic content and pedophilia has been the subject of a search warrant issued by the US federal police, which authorizes the competent authorities to enter the suspect’s home and seize it of its electronic devices (computers and smartphones therefore) in order to search for compromising evidence.
Michalski would not have put up any resistance, thus agreeing to comply with the directives of the FBI which could have got hold of incriminating conversations on the Kik application. We do not yet know what will happen to the fate of the suspect, but everything suggests that legal proceedings will be instituted against him.
