Facebook in the crosshairs of American states

A group of American states has decided to investigate Facebook for possible violations of antitrust law. The investigation is being led by New York State Attorney General Letitia James, along with her counterparts in the state of Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee and District of Colombia.

The investigation will focus on Facebook's dominant position in the social media sector and the anti-competitive behavior that may result from it. In other words, it will seek to determine whether Facebook is abusing its dominant position.
