Kickstarter, the New York crowdfunding site, recently hosted the ambitious Eye project. It is a smart case for iPhone embedding the operating system of Google, Android. This allows you to switch from an iOS phone to Android in just a twist.
Powered by an Android 7.1 Nougat, the Eye has a 5-inch AMOLED screen. The accessory connects to the iPhone via the Lightning port. Once the shell is mounted, we get a dual screen phone (front and back), as if an Android phone had been stuck to the back of his iPhone.
This smart shell offers many features. A microSD card slot provides up to 256 GB of storage memory. A built-in 2,800 mAh battery provides additional charge for the iPhone, and the accessory is even compatible with Qi wireless charging. The Eye can receive 2 SIM cards, and a high-end model supporting a 4G connection is announced.
The Kickstarter campaign indicates that the first units will be delivered in August. However, this schedule will be difficult to meet in case of high demand according to MacRumors.
