In these 2020 end-of-year celebrations, the Epic Games Store has decided to spoil its users by offering them one AAA game per day, for 15 days. The first batch was delivered this Friday, December 18 with the management game Cities Skylines, followed by the legendary OddWorld: New ‘n’ Tasty. Earlier this week, the more daring players got their hands on the terrifying Alien: Isolation, one of the best if not the best Alien-stamped title.

And on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, users will be able to trade the claustrophobia of the Sebastopol space station for the dark and disturbing tunnels of the Moscow metro with Metro 2033: Redux. It is neither more nor less than a remake of Metro 2033 released in 2010. This redesign uses a new graphics engine and offers reworked lighting effects for a still chilling atmosphere.

As a reminder, the saga of Metro games (Metro 2033, Metro Last Light and Metro Exodus) is inspired by the novels of Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky. These novels are exceptional and we obviously advise you to go for them if they are not yet part of your library.

In Metro 2033, you will therefore have to embody Artyom, a young Muscovite who, like thousands of other people, must live holed up in the underground tunnels after a nuclear disaster. Artyom will have to leave his station to save the inhabitants of the metro from a terrible threat, and will have to to confront fanatics, mutant creatures and dangers unknown to man in the process.

As a reminder, don’t forget that you can get Metro 2033: Redux for free until wednesday 23 december 2020 5 p.m. last deadline. Then a new game will take over. In this regard, the complete list of games offered during the Christmas holidays was leaked this Monday, December 21. So far, this list has hit the mark, since OddWord, Alien: Isolation, Cities Skylines and Metro 2033 were indeed part of it. In fact, players should enjoy an episode of the Tropico saga tomorrow, to check.
