“The complaint dates from three years ago. The Nichicon capacitors we are talking about were actually used by some of our suppliers between 2003 and 2005. But all the customers who had problems saw us settle them with them.

As soon as we realized that Nichicon had problems with the manufacturing of its capacitors, we stopped using them. We have even extended the warranty for potentially affected motherboards.

The American brand also acknowledges having made a mistake by not recalling the products concerned, by justifying the fact that there was no risk to the health of users. Finally, Dell admits that it was unable to identify the affected motherboards. Next step in American courts.
