Fire risks

Indeed, the American manufacturer has decided to beat the recall of 70,000 accumulators installed in its HP and Compaq PCs. The machines concerned were sold between August 2007 and March 2008. The risk involved is of the order of overheating. If left untreated, it could even result in a computer fire.

If you are the owner of a affected machine, it is strongly recommended that you stop using it and contact HP Customer Care for instructions. Here is the list of affected computers and the battery models.
