The wait has been so long since the officialization of its existence in 2012. After more than seven years of development, and postponements galore, Cyberpunk 2077 will finally be available on December 10, 2020 on almost all current platforms, with the exception of Nintendo Switch.

According to our colleagues from the IGN site, it is possible to pre-download the track from CD Projekt RED from this Monday December 7th, provided that you have pre-ordered the game on GOG Galaxy. The platform just made the news official just a few minutes ago. “Starting today, you can preload all the files you need to install Cyberpunk 2077. So you can quickly dive into the most anticipated open-world RPGs on December 10, when the game premieres ”, write the GOG teams on their official website.

On this subject, the platform in partnership with the developers of the Polish studio has made a short video to thank players for choosing GOG Galaxy to pre-order Cyberpunk 2077. Note that by trying to launch the game before the fateful date, players will benefit froman easter egg signed by Keanu Reeves, aka Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077. It includes an image of the Badlands, the desert area around the metropolis of Night City. All accompanied by advice from Silverhand: “Go back to sleep Samurai! It is not yet December 10 ”.

As a reminder, CD Projekt RED recently confirmed that it will be possible to transfer its PS4 and Xbox One saves to the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of Cyberpunk 2077. Good news for all players who will start the adventure on current- gen, before being able to migrate to the next generation consoles.

If the next-gen versions of the title promise a framerate of 60 frames per second, it will however be necessary to wait until the first quarter of 2021 to taste a “real” PS5 and Xbox Series X version of Cyberpunk 2077. This “massive update”Should include support for Ray-Tracing or even an innovative use of the Playstation 5 DualSense.
