Cyberpunk 2077 is entitled to its first official Nvidia benchmarks, and the least we can say is that the game weighs heavily on the performance of the RTX 30xx and 20xx. Apparently, in 4K with Ray Tracing and DLSS enabled, even the most beastly RTX 3090 struggles to deliver 60 FPS!
The first official Cyberpunk 2077 benchmarks take away our doubts: yes this game requires a monstrous PC to really enjoy an “all settings to the max” experience. And even ! It would be simply impossible if Nvidia had not invented DLSS technology – or Deep Learning Super Sampling for close friends.
This technology uses deep learning to upscale graphics in real time, while sparing a little the computing power of the GPU. To put it simply, DLSS is basically a trick that will let you enjoy gaming in 4K even as the graphics are rendered by the GPU at a lower definition. It is therefore in this context that we understand the various official graphics provided by the founder.

Cyberpunk 2077 weighs very heavily on the performance of Nvidia RTX cards!
The first round of tests was carried out on the RTX 3090, 3080, 3070, 2080 Ti and 3060 Ti with and without DLSS and in “Quality” mode with Ray Tracing, on a machine equipped with an i9-10900K and 32 GB of RAM. In this definition, we see that the RTX 3090 is the only card capable of delivering a little more than 60 FPS in a stable way without DLSS.
Activating the feature causes a sudden boost in the number of frames per second. The RTX 3090 goes over 90 FPS, and the least powerful card of the selection, the RTX 3060 Ti climbs beyond 60.
The result narrows as soon as we switch to 1440p. From this definition, it is impossible to enjoy stable 60 FPS without activating DLSS. And again, this is only true with the RTX 3090 and RTX 3080. With the other cards, the game is only really playable if the famous upscaling technology is activated.
Gold, when it comes to 4K it’s a real butcher’s shop. Without DLSS the game is simply not playable with any Nvidia RTX card, including the RTX 3090 which painfully displays 22 FPS. DLSS improves things a lot, but beware of screens with high refresh rates.
Even with an RTX 3090 and DLSS enabled, Nvidia painfully reaches 60 FPS, which is surprising since there isn’t much better on the market… (apart from maybe the latest Radeon RX cards?). Either way, if your card is in the Green Team and you absolutely want to get into FPS, it might seem like playing at 1080p, even with your monstrous RTX 3090!
