Cyberpunk 2077: 5th update fixes bugs on PS4 and Xbox One

Cyberpunk 2077 is already entitled to a fifth update. Under pressure from players, CD Projekt Red is deploying update 1.05 in order to improve stability and correct the many bugs in the game on PS4 and Xbox One.

A few days ago, CD Projekt Red admitted the unthinkable: the PS4 / Xbox One version of Cyberpunk 2077 was not ready at launch. Rather than postponing the release for the umpteenth time, the Polish studio preferred to market a catastrophic console version and correct the situation via regular updates.

Since December 10, CD Projekt Red has therefore deployed 5 updates of Cyberpunk 2077. As a reminder, the penultimate date of Saturday, December 12. This fourth patch mainly proposed an overall improvement in game stability in order to avoid accidental crashes. There were some bugs that prevented PS4 and Xbox players from progressing through the story. Despite these urgently deployed fixes, the discontent of console gamers continues to mount.

Cyberpunk 2077 update 1.05 is rolling out

In these conditions, CD Projekt Red is currently rolling out a fifth update, primarily intended for the console version. The fixes notably improve the reaction time of non-player characters or their time to appear in the game. CDPR fixed many minor bugs, including blocked or repeated dialogues.

In the changelog, the Polish studio also mentions “Multiple stability related improvements, also including fixes related to game crashes”. CD Projekt Red also lists fixes only for the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The fix thus improves “The sharpness of the image”, corrects “Graphics issues during the transition between The Heist and Love Like Fire quests” and “The appearance of many vehicles”.

As a reminder, the studio has committed to deploying patches to improve Cyberpunk 2077 on console from January 2021. A second patch reserved for PS4 / Xbox One will be deployed during the month of February 2021. With its repeated fixes, CDPR hopes to prevent players from claiming a refund from Sony and Microsoft.
