Apple Keynote Tim Cook Coronavirus: Apple suggests employees in France and other countries stay at home

Employees last week from the Cupertino campus, Apple Park and Infinite Loop, were invited to work from home (see Apple recommends that Apple Park employees work from home because of the coronavirus). This week, it’s Apple employees’ turn to France, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Seattle, in addition to the Santa Clara Valley and Elk Grove.

Tim Cook, the boss of Apple, said that employees can work remotely if their work permits ”, for the week of March 9 to 13. This policy has an impact on “Areas with the highest density of infections”Cook said.

Besides, the boss of Apple adds that the company “Is making a significant effort to reduce human density and ensure that the teams on the ground can do their jobs safely and with peace of mind”. Finally, Tim Cook warns employees who have a fever or cough not to come to work until they are recovered, to wash their hands regularly, not to touch their faces and to follow quarantine procedures after their return from infected areas.
