Apple Keynote Tim Cook Coronavirus: Apple restricts employee travel to South Korea and Italy

Apple no longer allows its employees to travel to South Korea or Italy due to the coronavirus epidemic that affects these 2 countries.

“We have implemented specific travel restrictions in a few countries, including China, South Korea and Italy”Apple said in a note to employees. Apple recommends that employees manage meetings through phone calls and video chats.

“There are many ways to continue to manage our ongoing meetings and activities through calls and videos. If you are planning to travel, we suggest that you organize with your managers to consider delaying or canceling business trips that could be postponed or managed through virtual meetings. “

Currently, employees can only travel to these areas for compelling business reasons and must be approved by a corporate vice president.
