During the CES 2014 from Las Vegas which started today, LaCie announced a new external hard drive called Fuel, compatible with, among other things, iOS and Mac computers.
The LaCie Fuel lets add 1 TB of storage capacity to compatible mobile devices, which means you can store up to 500 movies, 160,000 songs or 190,000 photos and carry them with you wherever you go. You can also connect up to 5 devices simultaneously and AirPlay compatibility allows you to stream content stored on the hard drive to a Apple tv or any other supported system.
The LaCie Fuel has a battery life of 10 hours, and does not need to be plugged in to operate. The HDD create their own network Wireless, and you can connect to it as you would a router. It is equipped with a USB 3.0 port to transfer files faster.
The integration of Dropbox allows users to add files to LaCie Fuel automatically. Add files to your Dropbox from any device and they will be synchronized with the Fuel when it is connected to the internet.
Fuel will soon be available in the LaCie online store at a price of € 219.90.
