TomTom has announced the next update of its iPhone / iPad application which will integrate social networks. From now on, it will be possible to use addresses of places, parties and friends from social networks to get there thanks to TomTom, and communicate our arrival time to warn them in advance of a possible delay.

This new version of TomTom will be available during the first quarter of 2012 and will be completely free for those who already have the original application. Others can download it for 89.99 euros in the Europe version, 69.99 euros for Western Europe only and 59.99 euros for the Benelux map.

By integrating Facebook functions into our TomTom application, we make it even easier to navigate to places and events and meet friends. A process that seems quite logical and that could mark a turning point in the use of GPS software on smartphones …
