Can I see who viewed my profile on Instagram?

‘Who Viewed My Instagram Profile’ – If you’re an avid Instagrammer with a public profile, this thought must have crossed your mind over and over. It’s okay to want to see who’s impressed with your creativity and take a look at this popular social network.

However, it would be naive to think that all Instgrammers follow the “Like-and-Follow” process. Most would prefer to just verify the profile without following the account.

This is especially true in the case of popular brands. If you are someone who loves NatGeo but don’t want to flood your feed with their photos (they post multiple times a day) then it makes sense not to follow them and visit their profile once a day (or a week) ) to browse their recent messages.

So how do you track those profile visitors who don’t care to follow? Does Instagram allow you to see who has viewed your profile?

If you are one of those curious people, be prepared for some disappointment. Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t let you know who has visited your profile. It does not yet have a built-in feature to track visitors to your profile.

In case you have a business account, you can see how many visitors you have had in the last seven days or how many users have seen your posts in their feed. But when it comes to the names of visitors, the answer is a resounding no.

Instagram, like Facebook, freezes on this particular issue, for obvious privacy concerns. To put it simply, they have the data but they don’t share it with anyone, not even you.

So yes, that means the days of Orkut are gone where you could easily see who entered your profile.

Now that the in-app function is out of the picture, what about third-party apps? A quick Google search will reveal many online tools and third-party apps for Android and iOS that claim offer this functionality. In fact, a search of the Play Store reveals hundreds of apps named accordingly.

The question of the day is, do these apps actually work? Nope!

Most of these apps appear to be fake and they usually pick random Instagram names and display the same for you. In fact, some of them even ask you to pay a bit of money if you want to see more than five names.

Browsing user reviews on Play Store and App Store, you will get the same picture. They pick random names and scramble them when you check next. Not to mention that an ad will appear every few minutes.

The reason why such apps cannot track profile visitors is simple. The Instagram API does not share this information with third-party applications. While some apps reveal people who haven’t followed (or followed) you recently, your profile visitor’s name is asking for too much.

L'API Instagram ne partage pas ces informations avec des applications tierces

Plus you never know how these applications manage your data . Since these apps are “functional” I doubt they are even secure. If you have previously allowed access to such apps, be sure to delete them immediately, even if you no longer use them or have uninstalled them from your phone.

Open the page Authorized applications Instagram on your browser and revoke the permission you have given to such suspicious apps.

Can I see who viewed my profile on Instagram?

Unfortunately, there is no process in place that would allow you to see the names of your profile visitors. They should be kept secret and rightly so. If you don’t want someone else to know that you visited their profile (eg your ex), it should hold true the other way around as well.

So, the next time curiosity takes over, you know better than to trust third-party apps.
