Calculations without hunger

FileMaker Pro 4.1 software is a database manager that allows you to structure a set of information, so that you can easily perform sorts and searches according to different criteria. But you can also, from this information, perform simple calculations or even do statistics. This is what we will see with our example on calculating the calories of a meal.Step 1
Prepare your work
1. Determine the objectives of your database in order to organize it well. In our example, it will be to constitute a base for each type of food (meats, fresh vegetables, starchy vegetables, dairy products, cheese, fruits, pastries, bread and sauces) constituting a meal, and a main base which will serve create a full menu and calculate your total number of calories. Identify the information you need to build the basics. To facilitate this classification, each type of information is classified in a section.2. Create the Entrance database
The Entry database contains information on the products making up the entry in a menu. You will therefore find products such as fresh vegetables (crudits), crustacs and cold meats.1.
