Update December 2 – 5:45 p.m .:

From around 5:00 p.m., all the problems encountered by subscribers to the Bouygues Telecom mobile network have been resolved. The curve of the bugs reported on Downdetector is dropping sharply, indicating that Bouygues has indeed corrected the situation, as the operator announced earlier in the afternoon. Everything is back to normal, even if the origin of this national breakdown is still unknown.

Since this morning, Bouygues Telecom customers have had to face major connection problems to the operator’s mobile network. “Following a technical incident, you may have difficulty using your mobile phone. Please know that we are doing everything we can to restore the situation as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding.” This is what we can currently read on the operator’s Twitter account Bouygues Telecom.

As the Downdetector website reports, the blackout affects many regions, and in particular France’s Island. Other territories like Alsace, Brittany or the RhĂ´ne-Alpes region are also strongly affected. The south of France (Bordeaux, Nice, Marseille, etc.) appears to be mysteriously spared.

Bouygues mobile network breakdown

If the origin of the failure remains unknown for the moment, Bouygues ensures that everything is done to resolve the problem as soon as possible. For our part, using Bouygues Telecom’s services for some of our mobiles, we have not encountered any particular concerns since this morning. But our movements being extremely limited because of the confinement, our case is probably not revealing.

The alert message from Bouygues was followed at 3:22 pm by an official response from the Bouygues TĂ©lĂ©com QualitĂ© 3G / 4G Twitter account. “The fault is normally resolved“, Says the account in question. But that doesn’t quite seem the case yet. Some subscribers still cannot use the operator’s mobile network, as they explain on the social network in response to the message posted by the operator.

As usual, we will not hesitate to update this article as the situation evolves.
