Just over a week after releasing the trailer in its original version (read: Biopic Steve Jobs: the official trailer is available), Universal Pictures released the French version of the trailer on Wednesday. This is identical to that in English, the only difference being the change of language. The actors’ voices were dubbed by French actors chosen to embody the extras.
Often, when the films are released, there is a change in the lines between the trailer and the final version. The scenario being brought to evolve throughout the shooting, the actors must adapt, just like the people who do the dubbing. However, sometimes there is no change at this level, if the director has a very precise vision of the scenes he wants to shoot.
As a reminder, Steve Jobs’ biopic was produced by Danny Boyle, which drew heavily on the biography of Walter Isaacson. The film should be released in France on January 6, 2015. In the list of actors, we find in particular Michael Fassbender in the role of Steve Jobs, and Seth Rogen in that of Steve Wozniak. Universal may well offer new trailers before the date indicated above.
