TheiPhone 8, theiPhone 8 Plus and theiPhone X were unveiled at the keynote Apple from September 12. This week, the first tests Geekbench of these 3 new Apple phones have appeared on the site of the benchmark specialist. To our surprise, the iPhone X is slightly less powerful than the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.
In the test with all the processor cores used (Multi-Core), the iPhone 8 obtained the best score (9,967). In second place, we find the iPhone 8 Plus (9,910), followed by the iPhone X (9,764). The order is however different on the test with a single processor core (Single Core). The iPhone 8 Plus version tops the list (4,207), followed closely by the X (4,198) and Plus (4,192) models.
The iPhone X is Apple’s premium phone this year. It has an OLED screen with a definition of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels. For its part, the iPhone 8 offers “only” 1334 x 750 pixels. A difference probably having an impact on Geekbench tests. Anyway, the tiny difference between the three new devices should not be noticeable in use.
NB: the results displayed by Geekbench are updated several times a week and can therefore change depending on the tests carried out by users of the service who own one of these smartphones. It is even possible that the iPhone X will pass in first position when it will be released for the general public next November.
