Beats just launched its first speaker Bluetooth since its acquisition by Apple last summer. Baptized the Pill +, it incorporates most of the design from its predecessor, the Beats Pill. So it too has the form of a pill, but comes with new functions and better performance.
The Beats Pill + has four buttons: a power button, a pause / play button, and two buttons for volume control. It is undoubtedly the most efficient speaker in the entire Pill range, thanks in particular to its sound system called ” active in both directions ” With this system, the amplifiers are integrated into the speakers (just two in number), one for each pair of woofer and Tweeter. This allows the different frequencies of the music to be assigned to the speaker that best suits them, giving better sound quality.
The new Beats Pill + is still small and light enough to carry easily in most bags. The speaker has a battery life of 12 hours, and can even use its large battery to charge your devices via the USB and Lightning ports located on the back. It is also possible to link several Pill + to each other to amplify the sound or set up dedicated stereo channels.
The user can also allow friends to synchronize their devices with the speaker without having to press one of its buttons. All this is possible thanks to a new Pill + application which will be launched next month on iOS and Android at the same time as the Bluetooth speaker. The latter will be available in two color options (black and white) and will be sold for $ 229 in the US.
