Bbox failure: Bouygues makes a commercial gesture

Image 1: Bbox failure: Bouygues makes a commercial gestureBouygues Telecom just announced that the second Bbox network failure had been resolved. If the ISP has not been able to communicate on its origin, it has evoked the establishment of a commercial gesture.

Bouygues Bbox: a major breakdown that still lasts

The access provider indicates to us that a joint offer is not planned, but that the requests will be treated “on a case by case basis. Also, customers who wish to obtain compensation for the damage suffered following the breakdown of the Bbox network, must contact Bouygues Telecom customer service.

We took part in the game to determine what types of compensation were available. During a first phone call, we were offered three months free subscription to Wide Angle packages (40 channels) or beIN Sports (4 channels), two options invoiced respectively € 12.90 and € 11.99 per month, in normal times. The total amount of the gesture here is equivalent to just under 40 euros.

From the TV package to the subscription month

Not satisfied with the channels offered by these bouquets, we reiterated our call. Efficient, Bouygues customer service asked us if we wanted to change to a different bouquet, before proposing to us offer one month subscription, or 37.90 euros for a Bbox Fiber offer.

Following the Bbox network outage on September 28 and 29, a Bouygues customer can therefore hope to obtain a gesture worth about 40 euros for a few hours of trouble.
