Battlefield 6 will be released at the end of 2021, it’s already confirmed. It’s about the only official thing we know about the game. Today, it’s a big rumor that emerges on the net, but beware, it should be taken with caution.
Battlefield 3
Battlefield is coming out in a year, but it’s already getting a lot of attention. The war game is indeed scheduled for 2021 and will mark the big return of the license after three years of absence. We hardly know anything about the game, but rumors are already roaming the web.
The one of the day appeared on Reddit and is signed by a certain William_Fichtner. He says a whole lot of things there, but gives no source for his words. He therefore asks us to take his word for it and needless to say that his statements must be taken. with the greatest caution.
Reddit is indeed the ideal place for this kind of publication. Many long “leaks” like these have already appeared on the site. Some are unverifiable (like on GTA 6) and others have been proven to be false. But a few were later confirmed. It is therefore not necessary take the claims of Battlefield 6 at face value.
Return to modern warfare
So what does this post say? The author claims that Battlefield 6 would stage a modern war between NATO and Russia. For the solo, he specifies that the system of war stories will make a comeback. One will focus on an American serviceman fighting the invader in an American suburb, while another will follow a British MI6 agent infiltrated in Eastern Europe. A plot that strongly recalls that of Modern Warfare, the rival license Call of Duty.
For multiplayer, this post indicates that modes like Conquest, Domination or Grand Operations will be making a comeback. Likewise, 64 player battles will be there. It also brings up three multi maps for now: one in an American suburb, one in a European city, and another in a Russian forest.
Information that seems credible … maybe too much. William_Fichtner does indeed take not too many risks in its publication, almost giving the impression that Battlefield 6 would only be a reskin of Battlefield 5. We hope that after three years of hiatus, the series will have something fresh to announce to us.
It remains to be seen if this will be confirmed. Battlefield 6 will be released at the end of 2021, on PC and next-gen consoles. We should therefore have official information during the first half of 2021.
