Last Thursday, a spectacular video has appeared on social networks. On the latter, we can see a Iphone 6 No longer exploding in the hands of its user. The incident, filmed by a surveillance camera, occurred in Australia, in a phone repair shop.
The customer in question had come to have the damaged screen of his iPhone 6 Plus repaired following a severe shock. The screen of the smartphone was broken and the shell of the device showed significant swelling. The man also noted a battery problem. Indeed, the Apple phone no longer held the charge.
The Otterbox shell of the iPhone 6 Plus has been removed for diagnostic purposes. The customer still had the smartphone in his hands and exerted strong pressure on the screen. It was then that a significant amount of smoke began to emanate from the device, which caught fire. The video surveillance images then show an explosion completely detaching the screen from the rest of the device.
After the video was put online, there were many reactions around the world. Several cases of explosion have been reported in the United States and in China. For the moment, it has not yet been established whether the Australian incident was authentic or a staging. It is therefore important to take this information with the usual tweezers.
