Augmented reality has in recent years been presented as the future of digital. Much more than virtual reality, designed to immerse us in another world, but which is well used in the world of video games. Augmented reality (AR), as a reminder, adds virtual elements to our very real world. If the AR helmet of Microsoft, Hololens, is still far too expensive to be acclaimed, the majority of manufacturers are thinking very strongly about this major innovation.
And that seems to be the case withApple, which should launch several devices dedicated to augmented reality display next year, according to information from Bloomberg. An AR helmet would in particular be provided, with a holographic type display system. It should also be in very high resolution (5K or 6K) and could outperform the Hololens.
In all likelihood, theiPhone will attach to the helmet to provide a power boost. Games, cards and messages are on the helmet program. Finally, two other products are advanced by Bloomberg: an iPhone 5G which will host a ToF (time-of-flight) sensor capable of scanning the environment around you in 3D and in real time, and a Mac ARM. What make us boil with impatience for the coming year…
