Apple reduced the prices of its subscriptions iCloud (read: Apple: significant drop in prices for iCloud storage plans), but unfortunately it is not the same for all its services. Indeed, with the release of the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus, the Cupertino company has discreetly increased the AppleCare + price.
As a reminder, AppleCare + for iPhone is an insurance product that offers telephone technical assistance provided by experts and 2 years of additional hardware warranty covering up to 2 incidents relating to “accidental damage”. From now on, you will have to pay 149 euros to register for the service if you have an iPhone 6S / 6S Plus, against 99 euros for the iPhone 6/6 Plus.
Also, be aware that each incident is subject to additional charges. These have also increased, from 69 euros for the iPhone 6 (and earlier Apple smartphones) to 99 euros for the iPhone 6S. An increase probably due to the 3D Touch screen, more expensive to produce and therefore to repair.
