Apple
Every year, Apple offers scholarships to students or young people who do not have the financial means to attend the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). For 2017, scholarship registrations will begin March 27. The list of the lucky ones will then be revealed on April 21.
Scholarships traditionally offer free tickets to WWDC, a huge advantage knowing that access to the event is $ 1,599. The flight and accommodation are generally not included, but from this year, accommodation costs are covered by the Cupertino company.
To apply, you must meet the following conditions: be at least 13 years old, have an Apple developer account, and be enrolled in a part-time or full-time study program. Members and alumni of a STEM organization are also eligible.
Apple recommends that candidates share a project designed with Swift (for iPad, Xcode or macOS) that can be used in less than 3 minutes. The apple brand will then judge the applications by assessing technique and creativity. WWDC 2017 will take place June 5-9 at the McEnery Convention Center in San Jos ”, California. It is the first conference to be held outside of San Francisco since 2003.
