Among the patents awarded to Apple this week, one of them will appeal to road safety advocates.
In the more or less near future, the Apple Watch may be able to detect when its wearer is behind the wheel, to limit distractions.
Apple Watch Might Not Disturb Drivers
Thanks to its various sensors, Apple's smart watch would be able to adapt to conditions, for example by limiting the number of notifications. Clearly, the Apple Watch could for example avoid notifying the user for emails while continuing to alert him for more information "important like emergency calls"according to the documents.
This patent application was filed last September, but obviously, it should be noted once again that the vast majority of patents remain at the bottom of a drawer rather than turning into innovation headed. Regarding this idea, we still hope that it will find a place in watchOS 4.
