As it has become customary for the apple firm since 2012, it has just invited the employees of its Apple Stores to test the new version of its operating system for Mac: macOS Sierra. They will be able to take advantage of all the beta offered to developers. However, they will not have to pay the annual subscription imposed for this.
Indeed, Apple sent an email to its employees stating that they can install macOS Sierra for free on their Mac. However, this is only a proposal and not a professional obligation. Everyone therefore has the freedom to choose if they want to migrate to this new update or not.
As a reminder, macOS Sierra was unveiled by the Cupertino company during the WWDC 2016 opening keynote in San Francisco. Of course, like any update, it comes with many new features and also brings various improvements.
Among the major innovations, we can for example cite the arrival of the virtual assistant Siri and new functionalities like “Auto-Unlock” or “Clipboard Universal”. Finally, by inviting its employees to test the OS for free, Apple certainly wants to teach them more about macOS Sierra so that they can better inform customers in the future.
