Apple stops filming in Ireland [TV+] #Coronavirus

According to Deadline, the shooting of the “Foundation” series was suspended yesterday. all production in the series is currently in Ireland, where most of the scenes will be filmed. The decision was made by Apple also following directives from the Irish Prime Minister. The latter has implemented a series of measures to prevent gatherings of more than 100 people in indoor environments. outside, no more than 500 people are allowed in the same place at the same time. Shooting will resume as soon as the situation returns to normal.

Foundation is the best known series of science fiction books by Asimov. This includes novels such as Foundation, Foundation and EmpireandSecond Foundation, among others.

The series tells the story of the export of psycho-history and the mathematician Hari Seldon, a man capable of predicting the future. Seldon creates a group called the Foundation to preserve collective knowledge of humanity before the imminent fall of the galactic empire. The novels span several years, with the rise and fall of several empires. It will therefore not be easy to adapt them to a TV series. Harris will play Hari Seldon, the math genius, while Pace will play Brother Day, the Emperor of the Galaxy.

The first season will include 10 episodes and is expected to hit Apple TV + between late 2020 and early 2021.
