Has Apple started chasing hackers over people who jailbreak their iPhones? This is what one might believe following the msaventure undergone Sherif Hashim, an iPhone developer who also spends his time trying to find exploits in flaws in apple firmwares. We owe him in particular the exploit touching the iPhone OS 3.1.2 allowing to unlock the iPhone 3G and 3GS under baseband 05.12.01.
The developer / hacker had indeed the unpleasant surprise to discover a notification on the springboard of his iPhone indicating that the ID of his iPhone had been banned for security reasons. Since then, he has been unable to log in to his iPhone on the App Store and iTunes.
Has the pirate hunt started?
We discuss it on the forum.
