This is great news for iPhone owners in Swiss ! As announced during the WWDC 216 opening keynote on June 13, Apple Pay is now available in this country. Beneficiaries can use the contactless payment service to pay for their purchases.
The announcement was made this morning on the official Apple website. The firm explains that Apple Pay is now operational in Switzerland. As you probably already know, this service is intended for the owners of certain devices of the firm with the apple, namely the iPhone SE, the iPhone 6, the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6S and the iPhone 6S Plus. However, those who have an iPad or an Apple Watch can also benefit from it, but not in the same way as with an iPhone.
In Switzerland, three banks are currently compatible with the Apple Pay service: the Bonus Card, Conercard and Swiss Bankers establishments. However, as in most countries benefiting from the payment system, this number will certainly increase over time. If you live in Switzerland and want to use Apple Pay, you can already go to the Wallet application on your iPhone to add your Visa or MasterCard.
