The France and the Swiss are not the only countries to see this happen Apple Pay in this month of July. After launching in Switzerland on July 7 and in France yesterday, Apple has just offered its contactless payment service to Hong Kong. It is therefore the third country to benefit from Apple Pay just for this month, and the list could grow even more. According to the latest rumors on this subject, the apple firm is preparing to extend its service in Spain, but nothing is sure yet.
In Hong Kong, only Visa, MasterCard and American Express are compatible with Apple Pay at the moment. As for the banking establishments in which the service is available, we can cite 6 for this first launch including Bank of China of Hong Kong, American Express, Hang Seng Bank, DBS, Standard Chartered and HSBC of Hong Kong.
However, as in all the other countries where Apple Pay has been launched, this list should soon be extended and welcome new banking establishments. Besides, we already know the names of the two others who will activate the service in the coming weeks: BEA and Tap & Go.
