Apple has just obtained a new patent. This time, it concerns the screen that could equip future iPhone. If we expect today the arrival of the screen OLED for the iPhone 7S / 8 of 2017, it may well be that the apple company offers it in a flexible version.
Indeed, the new patent that the USPTO has granted it describes different techniques to make a screen flexible. To be more precise, we see a screen that can fold around the edges. In practice, this can notably increase the viewing angle and provide users with more space for handling.
As a reminder, Samsung, the main rival of Apple, is also currently preparing a smartphone with a foldable screen and its release for the beginning of next year. However, for its part, it is not yet known whether Apple will be able to equip the iPhone 8 next year with its flexible screen.
In addition, the iPhone may not be the only Apple device to benefit from this technology. According to the company itself, it is possible that this revolutionary screen can also find its place on other terminals such as the iPad, iPod Touch, and even the Mac.
