According to Digitimes, it would be no less than 50 millions type chips NAND [flash memory] that would have been ordered recently from the Korean manufacturer Samsung.
In June, an order for 25 millions chips have already been requested by Apple Samsung who was forced to delay orders from non-Apple customers.
In total, it is therefore not less than 75 million chips who would therefore have been ordered.
When we know that Apple has set itself a goal of 10 million iPhones sold until the end of this year, this suggests that Steve Jobs is rather optimistic concerning the success of the iPhone 3G!
