If you follow the news from near or farApple on the site of World is Small, you are aware that the apple brand will officially hold a keynote on March 25, to announce its famous services. If we expect to see its video streaming platform, competing with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu and the next Disney Plus, it will also be an opportunity for Apple to present Apple News Magazine, its unlimited but subscription press service.
For the moment, some details concerning this service have been leaked, after the search of Steve Thoughton-Smith, a developer, in the bowels of the new beta of iOS and macOS released a few days ago (and which brings practically nothing). The beta contains, all the same, a list of all the genres of magazines already present:
Automotive sectorCorporate financeCrafts and hobbiesAmusementFashion styleFood and cookingHealth and fitnessHome and gardeningChildren and parentsMen / women lifestyleNews and politicsTechnology and scienceSports and recreational activitiesTravel
The magazines will also be based on PDF format, and can be downloaded for reading offline 4G or Wi-fi. Push notifications will also be supported to report the release of a new number, and the app will also be available on macOS.
There’s a bunch you can discern about Apple News’ magazines from what’s in the OS betas: for example, the magazines are PDF-based (like most iPad magazines), and issues can be stored offline. The magazine genres are listed as pictured. Most of its code is written in Swift pic.twitter.com/Uc1gN0qygu
