Apple Construction is therefore continuing on what will be its largest headquarters ever designed, but also one of the largest ever built for a technology company to date. If the construction of the Campus 2 was delayed last year for no apparent reason, work seems to have accelerated, since a new video of the building allows to see very relevant details.
The Giant donut, another name given to Campus 2, has finally entered its critical construction phase, which shows this new video flying over it. Filmed by a drone, as usual, the next Apple HQ shows up in a sequence captured at the start of July, which notably shows the progress of the works, marked by the earth’s release from the main building.
In fact, and according to the images provided by the video, in addition tomain building already in good shape, the other areas of the campus would be well advanced too. This is particularly the case for parking lot, which is almost complete, but also the case of the immense fitness center, of the auditorium and research Center or some recreation areas, which are already finalized. As it was rumored some time ago, 95% of the roof area of the main building is covered with immense solar panels, which gives Campus 2 and Apple even more of a green touch.
If for the moment no precise date is given as for the last hammer blow of Campus 2, rumors suggest the end of this year. The progress of the construction site is quite simply spectacular, especially with regard to the main building, the facades of which already display gigantic bay windows. A true architectural gem, Campus 2 could well bring in new titles to Apple.
