Apple
Confirming the rumors of recent weeks (read: iPad 5 & iPad Mini 2: keynote on October 22?), Apple sent its usual invitation cards to the American media yesterday for its keynote of October 22 at the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco.
As a reminder, two new tablets are expected from this conference:
- TheiPad Mini 2 should have a design similar to the current iPad Mini (7.9 inches). It is expected to have a Retina screen as well as the A7 processor introduced with the iPhone 5S on September 10.
- TheiPad 5, meanwhile, will also be close to the iPad Mini since it is thinner and lighter than the fourth generation iPad. However, the screen will remain 9.7 inches. The processor will normally be an A7 as well, and the panel should have a fingerprint sensor (Touch ID).
On the Mac side, new ranges could be presented in OS X Mavericks. Finally, the MacBook Pro will switch to the powerful Haswell processors from Intel.
