Currently, the Cupertino company is the third largest smartphone maker in terms of sales, behind Samsung and Huawei. And yet, the manufacturer is far ahead of all of its competitors when it comes to profits.

In its study, the firm Counterpoint Research, specialized in the field, notes that the iPhone represented 32% of the turnover of smartphone sales and 66% of profits. “The loyalty of premium users in major markets such as the United States, the European Union and Japan is one of the reasons why Apple can still operate at a profit level that its competitors can only wish for,” explains Counterpoint. Apple should also continue to do well thanks to its ecosystem, according to the firm.
Samsung is in second place with 17% of profits, an increase thanks to the Galaxy A and Note 10. Huawei is 3rd. Oppo and Vivo in 4th, Xiaomi in 5th. Overall, profits for the smartphone industry fell 11% year over year to $ 12 billion in the third quarter.
