The apple brand was no exception to the containment rule. In March, Apple has indeed decided to close most of its stores around the world. But while the hour is deconfinement, the Cupertino company undertakes a gradual reopening of its Apple Stores. According to an article in The Verge, nearly 100 Apple stores have already reopened. Soon, 25 additional stores in the United States, 12 in Canada and 10 in Italy will reopen.
In a letter to customers, Deidre O’Brien, Apple Retail Manager, explains, “Our commitment is to only reopen when we are confident that we can safely return to customers in our stores. We review all available data – including local cases, short and long term trends and advice from national and local health authorities. These are not decisions we rush into – and opening a store in no way means that we will not take the preventive measure to close it if local conditions warrant. “
The manager indicates that in each Apple store, there will be no overcrowding between customers. The mask will also be mandatory and Apple will provide it to anyone who does not have one. A temperature will be taken at the entrance and there will be regular full cleaning. When possible, Apple will set up services outside the store to encourage customers not to enter the store. “For many stores, this means a curbside pickup and drop-off. If you choose to buy online, we can ship to your home or make your new items available for convenient pickup in our stores, ”says Deidre O’Brien.
