With Apple TV +, the apple brand hopes to have strong partners to become a reference in the world of streaming. Hence a recent contract with the production company A24 Movies, responsible for the development of Hérédité horror titles, for example. If the service is scheduled for the fall, Apple must nevertheless hurry to attract crowds and thus become a serious competitor to Netflix, OCS and others Hulu and Amazon Prime Video. And for now, as much to tell you that it is not won, even if Tim Cook recently expressed the feeling of wanting to create films that will be awarded at the Oscars.

According to information from Deadline and The Hollywood Reporter, Apple, who absolutely wanted to buy a production company from director JJ Abrams (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Lost: The Disappeared…), got his hair cut by WarnerMedia in the acquisition of Bad Robot! The total amount of the transaction would be $ 500 million, so regrets, but not too much.

WarnerMedia and Apple were the two buyers still in the race for Bad Robot. Amazon, Netflix, Sony and ComCast also wanted to buy it out. Despite this failure, Apple still produces around fifty films and series right now … including two productions by Bad Robot Production.
