Yesterday, digital security specialists had the opportunity to make fun of Apple with a major and devilishly simple flaw in macOS.
In the space of 24 hours, the apple brand reacted to resolve this bug which gave a very bad image of the Californian company, especially with informed users. An update correcting this flaw is being deployed: Security Update 2017-001.
apple fixes high sierra macos flaw
According to developer Lemi Orhan Ergin, hacking an Apple device running macOS High Sierra is nothing too complicated. To get there, just take advantage of an open session to go to system preferences and then to the Users and Groups tab.
When entering the login, all you had to do was type "root"before leaving the password box blank. Then, pressing"validate", the headed system finally gives access.
Obviously, someone had missed out on the design of the system and a fix is more than welcome. We had tested this safety "hole" and indeed, it was as simple as pie.
