Has all of us happened to use your iPhone in the rain (people who live in the north know exactly what we are talking about), the touch screen tends to react badly. Apple is working to find a solution that is causing a rumor about the iPhone XI.
Improve touchscreen responsiveness
Need to send an iMessage while walking and it's raining? Is your iPhone having trouble reacting because of the rain falling on your notch or because your fingers are wet? Everyone has already encountered this problem, even the Apple team, which is currently working on this new project!
Rain is a factor disturbance for the detection of the pressure on the touch screens that we use every day. This new innovation concerns the screen of the Iphone and perhaps also that of theApple Watch.
Apple's explanations for this patent filing reveal a screen capable of detecting the touch by ultrasound.
The screen that Apple describes will be able to differentiate between water and the pressure of a wet finger or not. If the screen infers that it is water and not the pressure of your finger, the interaction will not be taken into account. Apple calls this a "ultrasonic polarizer".
