Apple is continuing its expansion plans for New York, as confirmed by a new lease for a series of offices near Madison Square Garden.
With this agreement, Apple is renting eleven-fourteenth floor of a building in Penn Plaza, called Penn 11, for a total of 20,000 square meters. Apple has also opted for other spaces on the ninth floor.
According to the New York Post, the deal was signed with the owner of the Vornado Realty Trust building. Previously, these spaces were occupied by Macy’s, who now moves to his Long Island headquarters. The rental contract is valid for five years, with the possibility of extending this period.
This new agreement confirms that Apple wants to have a greater presence with various New York offices.
