The interest ofApple for the health field is getting bigger and bigger. It has already shown this on several occasions and today continues to make efforts to improve its health service. To do this, the Californian giant recently acquired Gliimpse. For those who do not know, this is a platform specialized in the health field, and more particularly in documents and data relating to health and well-being.
If we believe what reveals Fast Company in this regard, the takeover of this start-up dates back to the beginning of this year. Apple has therefore kept it a secret until today, for reasons that are still unknown. Furthermore, no information was disclosed regarding the price of this acquisition.
Gliimpse is still very young since its creation only dates back to 2013. Besides, its staff is still limited to only a few dozen employees. However, it already has a certain control of its activities and it is probably for this reason that the apple firm decided to buy it. The platform brings together in its database a lot of information (mainly related to health) about its users, which can be consulted by them if necessary.
