Apple decided to increase the prices of sound applications App store in Australia, Indonesia and Sweden. Price changes will affect all paid apps, as well as in-app purchases and subscriptions. In an email to developers, the Californian brand explains that the price increases are the result of changes in exchange rates.
In the case of Australia, for example, the value of the Australian dollar has depreciated against the US dollar since Apple’s last rate change in April 2014. “When exchange rates change, we sometimes need to update prices on the App Store”, Can we read in the email sent to the developers. The Cupertino company also explains that applications and integrated purchases will now be more expensive in Australia, Indonesia and Sweden.
This increase in prices therefore concerns both in-app purchases and the prices of the applications themselves. It also means that those who have a recurring subscription through an application (for a magazine for example), will see the price of this subscription automatically increase. Hope there is no price increase in France too!
