Access your computer remotely with SkyDrive

In addition to being able to store and synchronize your documents, SkyDrive, the online cloud service, also allows easy access to the entire content of your computer (access only to PCs under Windows) remotely from a web browser. Handy if you forgot to sync files!

To do this, you must first install the application SkyDrive for PC available HERE if you haven’t already, and connect to it. Make sure that the option “Make the files on this PC available to me on my other devices”Is activated. Note that to remotely access your computer, it must of course remain on and connected to the Internet.

Then go to your online space at from another computer.

In the tab “Computers“, You will find the name of your computer on which the application is installed, click on it and then on“Log in with a security code”On the right:


You then arrive on a page asking for your phone number or a backup email address (unless one of these elements is already entered in your account. Windows Live), this for security reasons.


A code will then be sent to your phone or by email, enter it in the field below and click on “To send”:


Note that a new code will be sent to you and requested for each new session.

There you go, you then access the content of your computer:


You can browse your disks, recover files, or even copy them to your SkyDrive :


Note that you cannot download more than one file at a time.
