5.5 inch and 4G smartphone with Android Lollipop 110 euros

a powerful smartphone, but already too old to be entitled to it

In terms of updating, the choices of smartphone manufacturers are sometimes difficult to imagine on the side of users. We can cite the case of the Galaxy S5 Active, yet as well endowed as the Galaxy S5 first of the name, but which has just received Android KitKat when its cousin already runs Android Lollipop.

And we have the same feeling of meanness with the Gionee Elife E7. Although dating from the end of 2013, this smartphone does indeed benefit from a technical file which still clearly holds water: processor 2.5 GHz quad-core (SoC Snapdragon 800), RAM 3 GB, 5.5 inch Full HD screen, 4G support and 16 Megapixel camera.

What a surprise then, when we hear about an update planned for March which will go from Android Jelly Bean to Android KitKat while entry-level models like the Moto E 4G will be eligible for Android Lollipop.

However, users will be able to console themselves with a KitKat update that improves theautonomy (thanks to better RAM management), brings unified messaging Hangouts and incorporates caller ID Call-ID. Better at the level of the game Photo is also promised.
