A first beta version of iOS 4.3 is available

Apple is offering the very first beta version of iOS 4.3 for developers this evening!

The few visible new features include the iPhone 3GS / 4, the 3rd and 4th generation iPod Touch and the iPad. What about the second generation iPhone 3G and iPod Touch? Apple does not offer a beta version of iOS 4.3. Simple forget, a beta version not ready or is it the outright abandonment of iOS support for this generation of iPhone and iPod Touch?

Regarding the new features of the iPad, new movements on the touch screen are possible. So you can use 4 5 fingers to return to the iPad home screen, without having to use the "Home" button. Using 5 fingers up the screen will bring up the multitasking. 5 fingers with a movement to the left or to the right will switch the system from one application to the other (for those who are launched).

The button that was used, initially to lock the orientation of the screen, had been replaced by a “Mute” functionality for sound under iOS 4.2.1. With iOS 4.3 beta 1, the iPad offers again the possibility to choose between the “Mute” functionality and the screen orientation lock for this button.

The news about the iPhone mainly affects the‘Added“ Personal hotspot ”functionality which allows you to share your mobile Internet connection with 5 other devices thanks to Wi-Fi. The FaceTime icon has been reviewed.

Lines of code in the SDK seem to prove that effects could be added to the camera of the iPhone.

The Apple TV also receives a new beta version of its firmware. The update concerns the AirPlay functionality which would be extended to more content thanks to iOS 4.3.

Here are the latest news for the moment. Others will undoubtedly be added to the discoveries.

We discuss it on the forum.
